FAQ

Do you use glass or plastic atomiser bottles?

We only use plastic atomisers to reduce the risk of damage in both our handling of the product and yours. There's nothing worse than dropping a glass vial filled with expensive perfume.

This also significantly reduces the risk of any potential damage in transit. In over 7 years of using these atomisers, we don't have a single one that has been damaged in transit.

How long will they last in the spray atomiser?

How long a fragrance stays ‘fresh’ really depends on a few factors, most of which come down to how you store it.

We recommend keeping your fragrances away from places like the bathroom or your glovebox for too long and we definitely don’t suggest you store them in places that can be affected by heat or direct sunlight.

Ideally you want to store perfumes in a stable & consistent, average to cool temperature & dark environment. If you do that there’s no reason why they can’t last for years, although with samples it’s always best to use them in the first few months.

Do you label your samples and how are they packaged?

We label each atomiser and carefully package to prevent leakage.

If you've purchased less than 5 samples, each atomiser will  be taped around the lid to ensure it doesn't come off in transit as well as placed in a zip-lock sealed bag and slimline box.

If you've purchased 5 or more samples (of the same size) your samples will be packed in a beautifully presented sample box (see below) with magnetic closing lid and velvet/foam inserts.

How many sprays will I get from each size?

We have tested the sample sizes we have on offer countless times and on average you can expect to get around 15 full sprays per ml of perfume from each atomiser

As a guideline

3ml = approximately 45 sprays

5ml = approximately 75 sprays

So, if you assume the average person sprays 3 times per use, you're looking at approximately 15 uses from the 3ml and 25 uses from the 5ml.

That gives you a good 10-30 days to test the fragrance out and decide if it’s one you’d like to purchase a full-size bottle of, or move on and try something else.

What is a decant?

Decanting is simply the process of transferring the perfume from the original perfume bottle into another bottle or in our case, sample size atomisers.

Any images you might see displayed of full-sized bottles are strictly to demonstrate which perfume your sample will be made up of. The main reason we do this, is simply to avoid confusion.

Depending on the design of the original bottle, the decanting process could be done using a sterile pipette or by spray method.

To ensure you get the exact amount listed, we use medical measuring devices so that each atomiser is filled to the exact amount.

Keep in mind there is a tiny air space left at the top of the bottles which is important for pressurisation in atomisers, this does not mean you received less than the amount listed, in most cases it won’t even be visible as we like to fill them up as high as we can

How and when will my item be posted?

Our fragrances are decanted by hand at the time of order placement, and will be shipped within 1-2 business days of payment.

Due to perfume being classed as a dangerous good the package will travel by road. This means we cannot offer an express post option, so please keep this in mind when placing an order and ensure you allow enough time for your package to arrive.

If you place your order prior to 10am there’s a good chance it will be posted that same day, however please allow 1-2 business days for your order to be posted.

What are the benefits of buying a sample sized perfume?

Samples allow you a more affordable way to sample a fragrance before committing to a full bottle. The ability to test on your own skin at your own convenience means you don't have the distraction of other scents which could confuse your nose when testing in store.

Whether you're experimenting to understand what notes you may enjoy, looking for a signature scent, gifting for a special occasion or simply testing a scent out of curiosity, there are many benefits of being able to do so in the comfort of your home.

It’s best to be able to test a fragrance more than once, as you probably already know fragrances react with your skin chemistry and can give off a differing scent depending on something as simple as what you had for dinner the previous night.

Have you ever smelled a perfume on someone else and thought ‘why doesn’t it smell like that on me’? that’s why.

Being able to wear a fragrance 10-25 times will give you a better sense of whether it’s suitable to your taste, especially if you want to test it in different environments and see how it performs.

Additionally, they're great to carry around for when you need a top up throughout the day.

Are your fragrances authentic?

Yes, we only own and stock 100% genuine fragrances and guarantee the authenticity of our products. We will never sell you a fake or diluted product.

All fragrances have been purchased from well known retailers, reputable authorised re-sellers and in some rare cases directly from the manufacturer.

As an online business our reputation is on the line, additional to that we are fragrance enthusiasts and collectors ourselves with high morals. We want our customers to have a positive, enjoyable experience whether this is a hobby, passion, or just a one-off, we want to leave you satisfied, happy and smelling amazing.

What if I don't like the perfume I received?

We obviously can’t guarantee you will like the sample/s you choose, it's a good idea to read some reviews online before going ahead with a purchase.

The point of sampling is to see whether or not you like it, if you don't, we recommend keeping it aside and trying it again a few days or weeks later, maybe at a different time of day/night.

If it still isn't to your liking, maybe you can gift it to a friend or find someone to swap it with in one of the many online fragrance communities.

Do you accept returns or exchanges

As our products are decanted by hand they cannot be returned to their original bottles. For this reason, as well as due to health regulations, or the possibility of product tampering, we can’t accept any returns or exchanges.

We may consider a credit or refund in unusual circumstances, such as the unlikely event that samples break during shipping.

If this occurs, or if there’s any other issue with your order, please contact us and we’ll look into it for you.

We take great care to package your item safely, in the unlikely event your item/s have been damaged then please send us an email including an image/images of the damage, in particular to the packaging as we will require those if we need to contact Australia Post
